AlpVision Fingerprint enables authentication of plastic molded products by identifying microscopic details of the plastic microstructure. The big advantage of this approach is that it requires absolutely no modification of the product itself.
A customer asked us recently to apply this technology to a new kind of problem. In fact, they already knew that their product was being counterfeited, but they wanted to monitor how many counterfeiters were molding their products. This was an easy task for AlpVision Fingerprint technology, as we are able to identify all products made by the same counterfeiter. This new type of requirement further extends the possible applications of AlpVision Fingerprint.
