Our Cryptoglyph solution is currently printed on 30 billion products every year by over 200 printers worldwide. The integration to the printing process does not add any cost to the production and the solution works on all rotary printing processes (flexo, offet, roto). However, these printing approaches intrinsically mean that all printed packages have exactly the same Cryptoglyph code. Some prospects recently requested a unique serialization. We therefore developed a solution that works by creating tiny holes in the varnish layer of packages using a laser beam. Since the laser position is controlled by a standard marking machine, we are now able to engrave variable Cryptoglyphs on individual boxes and labels!
