AlpVision’s patent uses artificial intelligence for product authentication

Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently a very hot topic and has applications in many different fields. AlpVision has already been using AI for many years in some of its smartphone apps in order to increase the detection performance of genuine and fake products.

However, we realized that one critical aspect of machine learning is the automation of image data acquisition. We found some innovative ways to address this aspect using robotized approaches and decided to file a patent (US2020/0342259) describing them. The good news is that we have just received the notice of allowance for the patent!
