The Luxury Transparency Index is a public-private partnership led by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and Lausanne University (UNIL) with a primary focus on promoting transparency within the luxury sector. Its main objective is to assess the social and environmental impact associated with the production of each luxury item.

There are two significant reasons why this initiative holds great importance:

1. Increasingly, customers in the luxury sector are becoming more socially and environmentally conscious. They want assurance that their purchases do not harm the environment or ecosystems.

2. European Union policy makers are actively working towards enforcing company reporting standards. For example, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) came into effect in January.

In order to comply with such reporting requirements, a unique serialization of each luxury object is necessary. Since the luxury sector avoids visible markings on their products, our new invisible serialization technology proves to be a viable solution. What makes it even more exceptional is that the variable Cryptoglyph is the only technology in the world capable of retrieving a unique identifier from an invisible marking using a standard smartphone. We have shared this solution with all luxury brands that participated in our recent event held on the 15th of May in Lausanne. We firmly believe that this will open up new perspectives for AlpVision.

We are thrilled to be at the forefront of innovation in the luxury sector, and we look forward to further collaborations and advancements in the field.
